Gretchen Morrissey is a Taos, New Mexico-based illustrator and pattern designer whose work celebrates the complexity and beauty of the natural world. Gretchen studied and taught textile design at Philadelphia University where she developed her signature style and love of print and dye processes.

Gretchen’s art has found a global audience selling her designs to international design houses including Wolfe Gordon, Luxe Surfaces, Omnova, Persifor.... Her designs have appeared on a wide range of products, from wall covering and home décor to stationery and fashion collections.

Drawing life inspiration from sailing, trekking and global travels, Gretchen’s work reflects both her technical expertise and her deep appreciation for nature’s artistry.  As she continues to explore new techniques and collaborations, Gretchen remains committed to creating art that inspires a sense of adventure, and joy.
